Piculìt Neri

The Piculìt Neri is a native vine with red grapes rediscovered by Emilio Bulfon in Costabeorchia, locality of Pinzano al Tagliamento municipality, which should not be confused with the more famous white Picolit or the Friulan Red Picolit. The name derives by the local Picolit, which in Friulan language means “small hill”. It is cultivated only in the area of Castelnuovo del Friuli and Pinzano al Tagliamento, to the west of the province of Pordenone, as required by a specific Regional regulation.
