The native vine Forgiarìn, rediscovered by Emilio Bulfon, derives its name from Forgaria, a small town of the Province of Udine, neighbouring Pinzano al Tagliamento, municipality where the winery is located. It was once very common in the hills of San Daniele, in Spilimbergo and Maniago areas; today it is only cultivated in Pinzano and Castelnuovo del Friuli, as required by a specific Regional regulation.
